DataMatrix Encoder GUI options
  1. Make Barcode. Click on this button to create the barcode. After you change the encoded data, or other program options, click on this button to refresh the barcode drawing.

  2. Target Size. DataMatrix allows only a handful of size choices, with values ranging from 1 to 30. Select Auto to let the program select a size for you (usually results the smallest barcode). If your target size is too small to hold all the data, the program displays a warning.

  3. Print. Print out current barcode. The program sends the barcode to the printer you selected.

  4. Copy to Clipboard. Transfer the barcode string in RTF and TEXT formats to the clipboard, so you can paste to text processing or drawing programs.

  5. Barcode String. The DataMatrix barcode is displayed in this field. Although you see an image here, the barcode is actually text formatted with the data matrix font. If you copy the contents to a word processing program (such as WordPad) and format them with a plain text font (such as courier), you will find that those really are characters, instead of images.
